2023 年9月，约翰·威廉姆斯时隔 30年重返日本，在东京与多年老友、指挥大师小泽征尔重逢。经过维也纳和柏林如同焕发第二春的重磅亮相，这位好莱坞传奇人物终于站上了小泽征尔创办的斋藤纪念管弦乐团的指挥台，带来了他最具标志性的电影音乐选段。
在《Princess Leia’s Theme》一曲中，崇高的圆号独奏和小提琴声部的浩大齐奏令人仿佛听到了马勒式的交响之声，清晰可见的室内乐般的织体更让音乐回味无穷。而在《Raiders March》和《The lmperial March》的经典进行曲旋律中，音乐的力度表现也毫不逊色。这场特别音乐会最后以威廉姆斯创作、他的好友斯蒂凡纳·德内大执棒的《Tributes!(for Seiji)》作结–这部作品是威廉姆斯 1999 年为了纪念小泽征尔担任波士顿交响乐团音乐总监 25 周年而创作，如今首次以录音形式问世，也成为了对不久前离去的小泽征尔的一份特殊纪念。
